What a Journey! I have over 17 years of experience as an international entrepreneur and business developer working for and with more than 50 SME’s but also large corporates such as ABN AMRO, Rabobank, and the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

 

At age 25 I co-founded KOIBOI (bags made from old records and seatbelts)

At age 30 I became owner and director of MeetIn

At  30 I founded BIC Advisory

At 31 I Co-founded StoneCycling

At 37I sold StoneCycling and participated in Solarix

At 41 I stared my sabbatical! 

 

International 

 In 2008 At age 25 I started traveling the world with entrepreneurs. At MeetIn we organized study trips and trade missions for entrepreneurs to emerging markets such as China, India, Brazil, Vietnam. Accordingly, we started doing innovation trips to Silicon Valley.

I had the privilege to meet a lot of interesting and inspiring and innovative entrepreneurs from Vietnam to Silicon Valley from Sneek to de Achterhoek! Together with my co-founder Dirk Aleven we sold the company in 2016.

 

International Business Coach

 In 2010 I started BIC Advisory and working as an international business scale up coach. I’ve helped over 50 SME’s Startups and scale ups to form, shape and execute their international business strategy. From finding business partners to getting investors on board to finance the international ambition 

 

Circular building materials

In 2015 I co-founded a new company, StoneCycling! The StoneCycling concept initially started at the Design Academy in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Stonecycling focusses on using the full potential of waste to create new building materials. StoneCycling grinds, blend and processes waste in different ways. This leads to surprising results uncovering the great potential and value waste materials can have in unique building materials. www.stonecycling.com

Energy on the Facade

In 2020 I joined the founding partners of Solarix. Solar Panles for the facade with a great design tranformed buildings with beuaty and energy. We grew the company from 4 people to 20 doing project in  the Netherlands and abroad. In 2025 I sold my shares in Solarix makeing sure i could have a well deserved sabbatical.

 

Business Development

 As the commercial director at StoneCycling and Solarix, I’ve built a client network from zero to over 2000 international relations with Architects, Developers and Construction companies mostly in Europe and the U.S. I gave lectures weekly about Energy Facade deisgn, Waste & Raw materials

I’m thrilled by international relations, business innovation, Green and Cleantech and I get energy from teaming up with companies and individuals from across to globe to do business build friendships and make the world a better place. For European standards, I’m one of the rare people that still prefer to call somebody instead of sending a text message or e-mail.
